Life Extension Advanced Milk Thistle – 60 softgels

Advanced Milk Thistle from Now Foods comes in a 60-softgel format, with each two-softgel serving delivering a 760 mg Milk Thistle Phospholipid Proprietary Blend — a combination of phospholipids and milk thistle fruit extract providing 480 mg silymarin, 180 mg silybin, and 48 mg isosilybin A and B. The formula also includes 160 mg of SILIPHOS phytosome milk thistle extract, supplying an additional 47.52 mg silybin. This combination of standardised extracts and phosphatidylcholine is designed to aid absorption of silybin across the intestinal lining.

Milk thistle has long featured in herbal traditions, and silymarin — its principal active complex, composed of flavonolignans including silychristin, silydianin, and silybin — is widely recognised in the supplement world. The phospholipid delivery system used here aims to address silybin’s naturally low water solubility, pairing it with phosphatidylcholine to assist transport into the bloodstream.

The softgel format makes each dose straightforward to take alongside food or water. Those who regularly include herbal supplements as part of a wellness-focused lifestyle, including people following plant-based diets or those simply looking to broaden their supplement routine, will find this a well-specified option.
