Optimum Nutrition’s Optimized Tryptophan Plus delivers 1000 mg of high-purity L-tryptophan per serving alongside a carefully assembled supporting cast of nutrients. Each 3-capsule serving also provides 250 mg of L-lysine HCl, 66 mg of niacin (as niacinamide), and a 285 mg proprietary Tryptophan Plus Blend combining Perluxan hops standardised extract and Ursole rosemary standardised extract. The L-tryptophan used is produced through rigorous manufacturing processes designed to ensure consistent quality and purity throughout every batch.
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid — meaning the body cannot produce it independently — and it plays a role in supporting serotonin, the neurotransmitter associated with positive mood and restful sleep. The additional nutrients in this formula are included to help maintain tryptophan activity in the body, making this a more considered formulation than a standalone amino acid supplement.
Presented in vegetarian capsules, this pack contains 90 vcaps, making it well suited to those who prefer a non-animal-derived supplement format. Best taken alongside a balanced diet and consistent exercise programme.
