NOW Foods Red Yeast Rice, 600mg – 120 vcaps

NOW Red Yeast Rice comes in vegetarian capsules, with each pack containing 120 vcaps at 600 mg per capsule. The sole active ingredient is organic red yeast rice, produced by fermenting Monascus purpureus — a red yeast — with white rice. NOW takes care during production to avoid citrinin, an unwanted by-product that can result from the fermentation process, and natural colour variation within the capsules is to be expected.

Red yeast rice has a long history in Asian culinary traditions, where it has been used since around 800 A.D. to add colour and depth of flavour to dishes — Peking Duck being a well-known example of its use. Here it is presented in a clean, unflavoured supplement format with no unnecessary additives.

With 120 vcaps per pack, this product suits those who prefer a vegetarian-friendly capsule format and are looking to incorporate red yeast rice into their daily wellness routine. The straightforward single-ingredient formula makes it easy to know exactly what you’re taking.
