OstroVit Cod Liver Oil delivers 500 mg of Atlantic cod liver oil per softgel capsule, alongside 215 µg of vitamin A (as retinol) and 3 µg of vitamin D (as cholecalciferol). Each capsule also provides omega fatty acids, including 40 mg of EPA and 50 mg of DHA. The softgel format is easy to swallow and requires no measuring or mixing, making it a straightforward addition to any supplement routine.
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble nutrient that occurs naturally in foods such as eggs and dairy products, while vitamin D — found in fatty sea fish — can also be synthesised by the skin through sunlight exposure. Together with the omega acids from the cod liver oil itself, these three ingredients make this a multi-nutrient capsule covering several nutritional bases in a single daily serving.
This 60-capsule pack from OstroVit is well suited to those who do not regularly consume oily fish or who follow diets that may be lower in these naturally occurring nutrients. Each capsule represents one serving, giving a generous two-month supply at the recommended intake.
