Mega GLA with Sesame Lignans from Life Extension comes in a 30-softgel pack, with each softgel delivering 400 mg of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) sourced from borage oil seed, alongside 10 mg of sesame seed lignan extract. GLA is an omega-6 fatty acid found naturally in evening primrose, borage, and black currant oils, and is not as readily obtained from typical dietary sources as other omega-6 fats.
Life Extension has combined the borage oil-derived GLA with sesame lignans in a single softgel format. Sesame lignans are included alongside the GLA to support the activity of DGLA (dihomogamma-linolenic acid), the biologically active form that GLA converts into within the body. The softgel format makes each serving self-contained and easy to swallow.
This product is made by Life Extension, a brand with a long-standing reputation in the nutritional supplement space. It is well suited to those who follow a targeted supplement regimen and are specifically looking to include GLA alongside sesame lignans in a single, straightforward softgel.
